is HomeTr@k?
HomeTr@k is the result of an initial 2 year project to make tracking orders
within the furniture industry more transparent. HomeTr@k has been designed
to bridge the gap between dispatch from the manufacturers and receipt
by the retailer / customer at home, allowing both sides to know instantly
where
their
orders are, and when delivery can be expected.
What does HomeTr@k offer me?
Order Tracking.
The primary feature of HomeTr@k is to offer full order tracking for the furniture
industry. Every order received by Home Delivery Co is automatically available via HomeTr@k
offering you the ability to track each stage of the delivery, and more importantly,
see at a glance where problems may
have occurred.
Stock Holding
In addition to order tracking, HomeTr@k offers customers of our stock holding
services the ability to view real-time stock balances, monitor outstanding
stock orders on a single screen as well as the ability to place stock
orders on-line.
Storage - Cancellations and Refusals
Monitoring non-live orders (refusals, cancellations) is an important area in furniture logistics that can often be over looked. HomeTr@k
solves this
by displaying all non-live orders on a single screen, with details
as to why they are there. From this screen you can view the history
of an order,
to ascertain where the problem lies, and then via HomeTr@k, issue us
with instructions to redeliver, return to manufacturer, re-allocate
product
etc.
Containers / Goods In
The container schedule lists all containers received during the past month,
and all containers booked in with us, along with the date they are due
to arrive. Clicking a container will list all the orders for that container
(if known), the order status, and any problems noted at the time of unloading.
My HomeTr@k.
Traditionally tracking orders within the furniture industry has been at
best difficult. The delays frequently experienced when attempting to obtain
the
status of an order often leading to a poor customer service experience for
the end customer. My HomeTr@k helps you to avoid this problem and increase
the level of service given to
your
customers by allowing you to quickly and simply track important orders on
a single
screen.
By adding important orders to your 'My Orders' screen you
can proactively check the progress of an order, and where necessary,
you can call your customer with news of their order, rather than waiting
for them to call you!
Email Tracking
You can email track any order with just a few clicks of your mouse. Once
email tracking has been activated for an order you will automatically receive
an email when the order has been :-
- Received By Home Delivery Co
- Planned into a delivery
- Booked in with the customer (or refused and the reason why)
- Delivery date confirmed
- Order delivered (or not delivered and with the reason why)
- POD scanned, and you will receive a copy.
Order History.
The order history is an accurate, history of what has happened to each
order, from receipt into Home Delivery Co through booking in, delivery and scanning
of the signed POD.
Attention to detail.
Knowing your order number is all well and good, but in real terms you will
also need to find out, for example, the description or quantity of
the product, the customers telephone number, is there any cash on delivery
to collect for this order etc. All this information and more is available
to you from HomeTr@k. Each order has full delivery address details,
quoted
store opening times, telephone/fax number, product details, POD (where
delivered) etc, reducing the need to continually cross-check with your
own systems/documentation.
Why is HomeTr@k Different?
Significantly HomeTr@k was designed
to be 100% customer focused, providing transparency to all sectors or the
furniture industry. Time and care have been taken to make sure that

Many tracking systems worldwide offer simple order tracking to the consignor
of an order. The consignor must be given a 'tracking reference' which
may then be used to locate the order in question. HomeTr@k's customer
focused design does not make you look-up or remember 'tracking references'
nor is it designed solely for the use of the sending an order. HomeTr@k
allows
the manufacturer, retailer and sales agents to access and interact with
their orders EQUALLY using their own reference numbers, so all sides can
instantly see the progress of a delivery.
HomeTr@k allows you to interact with orders, customers can, for example, request
orders are put on hold, be delivered urgently or re-directed to a new delivery
address, all from a single place greatly reducing the time you spend on the
phone
or email.
How much does it cost and how do I get it?
HomeTr@k is a completely free service to all our customers, whether
we are delivering to you or delivering for you. If you haven't
been given your account details, please email customer
services with your full name, company name, and email address
and you will be sent everything you need. |
